Mike Cooper Appointed Vice President of Engineering

Westboro, MA, June 28, 2004 -

Top Layer Networks, Inc., a provider of globally proven intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that Mike Cooper has joined the company as vice president of engineering. Reporting directly to CEO Peter Rendall, Cooper will be responsible for product development of Top Layer’s intrusion prevention technologies.

Most recently, Mike Cooper founded New England Project Services (NEPS), a project management consultancy. Before NEPS, he served as vice president of service delivery with Tanning Technology, an IT services company, and for several years prior to that was an independent consultant helping organizations improve their technology delivery practices. Previously, Mike served in a number of roles with Logica, Inc., including vice president of quality assurance and technology, Energy and Utilities Division; vice president and program delivery manager, Energy and Utilities Division; and vice president of engineering and quality assurance manager, among other positions.

Mike has managed national service delivery organizations for IT service companies covering many market sectors, and has consulted for many organizations about improving their IT delivery management practices. His experiences include individual coaching, project, program, product and line management, quality assurance, training, and process improvement. Mike also presents papers and writes articles to further the project management profession, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Consulting SIG of the Project Management Institute.
