Top Layer Security Joins Microsoft Active Protections Program

Partnership Enables Top Layer to Receive Advanced Information on Security Threats; Provide Advanced Protection to Customers

Top Layer Security, a leading global provider of Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), today announced it has joined the Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP). Through this partnership, Top Layer will be provided with vulnerability information in advance of Microsoft's monthly security update release to anticipate emerging threats and provide its customers with more timely protection.

The Microsoft Active Protections Program is a program that provides vulnerability information to Top Layer in advance of Microsoft's monthly security update release. By having access to this detailed vulnerability information before Microsoft releases its security bulletins, Top Layer is better equipped to provide more timely protections to its customers through its TopResponse program.

TopResponse is an Automated Protection Update Service that provides Top Layer IPS 5500 customers with advanced security services to maximize the security, availability, and performance of their network. In general, TopResponse provides automated threat updates, technical support, security advisory and software subscription services, along with access to Top Layer's Security Knowledge Base and special delivery programs.
