(NYSE: CA) in certifying Top Layer's IDS Balancer ca smart with CA's eTrust Intrusion Detection solution. Utilizing Top Layer's patented Flow Mirror technology, the combined solution also further reduces risk by enabling redundancy through the distribution of network traffic to multiple groups of eTrust Intrusion Detection sensors. For heavy switched or asymmetrical networks, the Top Layer IDS Balancer re-aggregates the traffic before passing it to eTrust Intrusion Detection, ensuring that the sensor sees all of the network traffic and can conduct proper analysis.
